Pochade Yummy Goodness

I just got my new pochade box so I can finally start doing some plein air painting and I am beyond DELIGHTED by how beautiful this thing is! It took only about 5 weeks to get it but depending on his work load it may take longer. I have to tell you it was worth EVERY penny I paid for it! I also got an extra panel box and the sunshade attachment. I found the recommendation for this particular pochade on the Lines and Colors blog:

which gave reviews on a number of different ones. This one appealed to me the most and I am thrilled with it! It is beautifully made and very well designed. Everything fits perfectly and when it's closed it is incredibly secure even when you add the piggy back.

I just wanted to say how wonderful it was to meet so many great people at Comic-Con and to see some of my friends from IMC!! To all of you lovely people who gave me your feedback on my work and bought my sketches - thank you!! You have fed my soul and I am so thrilled that my work spoke to you! To the kind people who worked the Publisher's booths thank you for glancing at my work, giving me your advice and for taking my card. I hope to be lucky enough to work with you sometime soon!

I am still buzzing from Red Bulls and the amazing Igor Bar (I haven't had that much sugar at one time in YEARS!) and from the super awesomeness that is Comic-Con!

If you are one of the people who are interested in me doing a commission for you, please be aware that I received MANY requests! I will let you know how long it will take depending on how many people contact me but I will do my best to make sure you do not have to wait any longer than necessary! I'm Going to be at NY COMIC CON!!!

I was lucky enough to get a booth across from Simon & Shuster! I will be there with Rick Bryant who is the inker for the DC New 52 Action comics Superman. I will also be plugging my new publishing projects under my marque Viridian Publishing and will have some samples of work for those projects. Hope to see you there!!

I finally finished redoing my Dune painting for IMC. It's still not what I had hoped I would get from it but it is miles away from what I had started with. I decided no matter what it id DONE and it's time to move on to the next thing. Or fifteen.

Look for it in on Illustration Master Class after September 23rd. I've also got it on my website!

I'm on Art Order!!

Okay you have to scroll a bit to see my submission but I have submitted a painting for a competition! That alone is a big accomplishment! There are some really beautiful pieces up there by the other artists and it is a thrill to see my piece up there with them... I can't wait to see what I am doing a year from now!

I have gone live!!!

I have finally gotten my website up, this blog going and a banner on my etsy site. I know this is an announcement in a resounding silence, but all the same I am celebrating having gotten this major task done! Now it's a matter of doing more and better artwork and getting it up on the web as well as letting people know I am here.
